A look forward to 2021

Hi everybody, A little update from us all at Academy North as we begin 2021. You don’t need to hear it from us how challenging 2020 has been, and we hope everybody has stayed safe and well during these tough times. Sadly, local cricket in Merseyside lost 3 legends. David Dunkley, Ted Williams & Mike Dunn did so much not for their own clubs but for the wider cricketing community and will be sorely missed by us all. Despite the obvious there has been many positives this year, for us, and for the whole cricket world. It was testament to the volunteers around the leagues and clubs that so much cricket did manage to go ahead during the summer. For ourselves we managed to run more 1:1 coaching, and more school holiday camps than ever before. We are extremely grateful to all of our players & parents, coaches and all of the clubs who both hosted and supported us in providing cricket opportunities when at one stage it didn’t look possible. 2021 looks set to be a busy and exciting year for us. We start up our 1:1 and small group coaching immediately in Liverpool, Birkenhead & Southport. We’ve opened up more availability in all 3 locations for the rest of the winter, and if you are interested in booking in or just want more details please just drop us an email (info@academynorth.co.uk). Additionally, during the winter we will be announcing the details for our February school half term camps in the coming days. We are in the process of planning our summer programmes as we look to offer more opportunities for players of all ages than we have before. We will continue our coaching programmes throughout the summer, as well as plenty of school holiday camps at different locations across the North West. We will also be looking to proceed with our coloured clothing tournaments at different age groups, which were unfortunately postponed in 2021 due to the COVID outbreak. Finally, we are very excited for what’s coming in October 2021. We are putting the final details together for our Barbados trip.
